DIU Kakching conducts hospital audit to review health schemes

Kakching, November 20 2025:
The District Implementation Unit (DIU) team of Kakching District, led by the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Kakching, the Medical Officer (MO) in-charge of Kakching Community Health Centre(CHC), and District Program Coordinator (DPC) of District Implementation Unit (DIU) Kakching, conducted a hospital auditon Wednesday to assess the implementation of key health schemes.
The team inspected two hospitals in the district - Jivan Hospital and Ema Hospital.
The audit aimed to evaluate the implementation of the Chief Minister-gi Hakshelgi Tengbang (CMHT) and Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) schemes.
It may be mentioned that under the CMHT scheme cashless treatment is given upto Rs 5 lakh per eligible family, covering primary and secondary care, as well as treatment for seven critical ailments - cardiovascular diseases, cancer, kidney diseases, neonatal diseases, neurological conditions, bums and liver ailments.
The AB-PMJAY scheme provides health cover upto Rs 5 lakh per family per year for secondary and tertiary care hospitalization.
The scheme is a component of the larger Ayushman Bharat program and aims to reduce out-of-pocket healthcare expenses.
