46th Lions Annual District Conference wraps up

Imphal, March 10 2025: The 46th Lions Annual District Conference, District 322D concluded today at the City Convention Centre, Palace Compound, Imphal with the election of new district leaders for the year, 2025-2026 .

According to a release issued by Lions International, Lalit Kothari from Nowgong, Neena Dutta from Dimapur and Shankar Routh from Golaghat were elected as district leaders for the year starting July 1, 2025 .

More the 600 Lion delegates from across the North Eastern States of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur and Nagaland participated in the parade from the Kangla Western Gate to the City Convention Centre, Palace compound.

District Governor Th Kesho Singh led the parade.

During the event, the Karmayogi Awardee Mayengbam Chanu Rita Devi of Thouda Bhabok Leikai was awarded a cheque worth Rs 51,000 in recognition of her contribution towards running a children home (Poirei Nawakol) for 35 children at Achanbigei, Imphal East.

The Lions Peace Poster Contest winner Lourembam Victor also received a cash award of Rs 5,000 along with an Appreciation Certificate from Raju V Manwani, Past International Director.

Distribution of the District Governor Medals to the Lion achiever of the year and felicitation of the contributors of the LCIF for enrolment as MJF/ PMJF were the other highlights of the event.
