Kanglatongbi temple celebrates centenary

Imphal, April 05 2025:
The Centenary Celebration marking 100 years of establishment of Shree Shree Vishnu, Durga Au Shiva Teen Panchayan Mandir, Kanglatongbi was held at the temple premises on Friday.
The programme was attended by IGAR South deputy IG brigadier Neeraj Sharma and his wife Priyanka; Mandir Committee president Ravi Kumar Uprety; Sekmai police station SI Prameshwor; Kanglatongbi Gram Panchayat caretaker chairperson Meena Bista and Presidency College, Motbung retired professor Dr Tanka Nath Khatiwada as presidium members.
Speaking on the occasion, Ravi Kumar Uprety recalled that construction of the Shree Shree Vishnu, Durga Au Shiva Teen Panchayan Mandir was completed and opened for public on April 4, 1925.The Centenary celebration is being held with religious prayers, rituals and cultural and traditional programmes, he added.
In connection with the celebration, former Mandir Committee members were felicitated and a memorial stone was unveiled.
