AR celebrates Cheiraoba festival

Assam Rifles celebrated Cheiraoba festival across multiple locations in various districts of Manipur.
According to a release issued by the IGAR (South), Assam Rifles facilitated celebrations of the New Year festivities at various villages across Imphal valley.
At Sekmaijin Relief Camp, around 40 Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) participated in the festivities.
Assam Rifles distributed chocolates to children and carried out relief distribution, providing essential provisions to the displaced families.
Similar celebrations were held at Oinam Relief Camp, where 150 IDPs gathered for the occasion and also at Irengbam Village, where 40 residents participated.
Assam Rifles personnel engaged with the communities, reinforcing bonds of trust and solidarity.
Also, in Sugnu, Kakching District, as part of the customary traditions of Cheiraoba, climbing moun-tains/Hills, a total of approx 260 people of Sugnu visited their revered religious site atop the hill Point 1016.This year's celebrations were marked by a spirit of resilience and joy as Assam Rifles, in collaboration with the Police and BSF, provided essential assistance and ensured the safety of the locals.
The celebrations provided an opportunity for Assam Rifles to extend support to all the communities in bonding over such occasions while preserving cultural traditions.
The people of all these villages expressed heartfelt gratitude to Assam Rifles for enabling them to carry out their cherished traditions.
