India orchestrating bloodshed: CorCom
Source: Chronicle News Service

Imphal, January 21 2024: The Coordination Committee (CorCom), which is conglomerate of underground groups operating in Manipur, has declared boycott of India's Republic Day celebration in Manipur on January 26 and imposed total shutdown from January 25 midnight till 6 pm of January 26 .

Appealing to the people to boycott the Republic Day, CorCom also called upon people to suspend all activities and remains indoors on the day.

The shutdown, however, will be relaxed for essential, religious, medical and fire services.

According to a CorCom statement issued by its publicty committee, India celebrates its Republic Day on January 26 every year but the day is 'Repressive Day' for the people of Manipur and not a 'People's Day' .

Amidst the bloodshed for more than eight months orchestrated by India, there is no reason for the people of Manipur to join India's Republic Day celebration and the day indeed is 'Black Day' for the people of Manipur, the CorCom said and appealed to the people to hoist black flag on the day instead.

While reiterating its appeal not to join Republic Day celebration, the CorCom said the ongoing war has destroyed lifestyles and economy of the people of Manipur and all these are happening due to India's 'regressive policy'.

Under this 'regressive policy', indigenous people are being disallowed to own land while national and international highways which are livelihood and development access for the people are being completely controlled by 'Mafia Syndicate' comprising ecocide community and government of India trying to destroy the land and convert these highways as their source of money, the CorCom alleged.

The statement further said that India has been continuously and strictly following the 'divide & rule' policy that the mighty British had handed to the then Indian government to permanently extinct indigenous peoples of Manipur particularly the Meetei community.

It is a fact that the British had divided the administration in Manipur as hills and valley and even leased out natural resource abundant Kiyampok Lamjao to the neighbouring country.

Later, Jawaharlal Nehru gifted the vast land to the neighbouring country without taking consent of the people of Manipur as if the land were properties of his forefathers.

The CorCom also reminded the people to understand that government of India enacted Article 371-C in 1971 before granting statehood to Manipur in the year 1972 to divide the hills and valley people despite fully knowing that Manipur (Kangleipak) is a hill land.

Diminishing Manipur's (Kangleipak) territory, dividing hills and valley and restricting Meetei community in economic activities in their own lands are all due to India's policy borrowed and followed from the British.

Expressing deep concern over the present crisis and bloodshed in Manipur (Kangleipak), the CorCom alleged that more than 70,000 IOF (Indian Occupational Force) personnel are being deployed to openly assist anti-Meetei mercenaries and surround the Meetei community as if in a huge prison.

It is much akin to Palestinians in Gaza Strip completely surrounded by air, sea and land by US-lsreal collaborative military syndicate and carrying out genocide on innocent civilians in Palestine.

In view of this situation, it is very likely that a political and military operation is being carried out by forming a joint command comprising India's intelligence agency.

Similar operation and tactics were adopted by the British as the then colonial power clubbed together the entire WE -SEA region as Crown's colony, the CorCom said.

While asserting that warfare adopted in the present war is not easy one, the CorCom said weapons, propaganda support group and huge money invested by the community forcibly converted into enemy would not be possible without the help and support of India and some other countries.

Fighting such intentionally strengthened community or group requires 'coordinated strategy' with revolutionaries having vast experience in war.

Showcasing war front like Hollowood films and uploading videos on social media will not serve any purpose and it would increase casualties instead, the CorCom cautioned and strongly called for understanding reasons for suffering more casualties among the Kanglei people despite having more manpower with arms.

The conglomerate group also stressed the need for proper understanding of ideology and objective of developing manpower and armed strength amidst the war so as to courageously fight against armed mafia community/group being utilised by India.

Even when state forces protecting lives and properties of the people were attacked by narco-armed groups, central forces remain as mute spectator as if watching festival, the CorCom said and reminded that Kanglei people could do nothing and remain regretful as long as living under Indian administration.

Kuki mercenary terrorists are able to kill innocent people as they being giving 'free hand' by IOF, the CorCom said and termed IOF personnel who could badly thrash students and women and inflict pellet gun and electric shock injuries as 'heartless force'.

The CorCom further said that India has become highly anti-Meetei and their forces (1OF) are not lesser than 'Mafia-Gang Community' while state government is a mere 'democratic statue' erected by India to visit family of victims and directing people's anger.
