Rabi campaign 2025 launched in Thoubal to boost winter crop production

Thoubal, November 20 2025: The Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Thoubal inaugurated the Rabi Campaign 2025 at the KVK Thoubal Complex, marking the annual initiative aimed at supporting fanners of Thoubal and Kakching districts in winter crop cultivation.

The inaugural programme was attended by District Agriculture Officer, Thoubal Th Joyprakash; CAU Imphal AICRP Dr Vikas Verma; and KVK Thoubal Sr Scientist & Head in charge, Dr Kh Premlata Devi as presidium members.

During the event, farmers received guidance on effective Rabi crop cultivation practices along with the distribution of winter crop seeds.

Addressing the gathering, District Agriculture Officer Thoubal, Th Joyprakash highlighted that the nationwide Rabi Campaign had been launched in September by Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan in New Delhi.

He emphasised that the campaign's goal is to enhance production and ensure successful yields, noting that active involvement and consistent effort from farmers across the State are essential for achieving the desired results.
