Thawai Meerel extends aid

Imphal, March 10 2025: Thawai Meerel under the banner "Ima Leibakkidamak Eikhoi Hingminakhisi" distributed 100 nos of mattresses and a Cheng-Ning chaphu to mothers of red zone areas in a simple event held at Laingoubi under Kumbi Assembly Constituency.

Thawai Meerel as part of its continuous effort of providing aid to the villagers of red zone areas, distributed the mattresses to the mothers of Kumbi, Wangoo and Sugnu who have been taking active roles in protecting the territorial integrity of Manipur.

Speaking in this connection, Paonam Sanahanbi, convenor of Thawai Meerel stated that the initiative of Thawai Meerel was launched under the banner "Ima Leipakkidamak Eikhoi Hingminashi by the mothers of urban areas with the motive to look after the needs of the people of red zone areas who have been sacrificing all their lives in protecting the territory of Manipur.

She continued that day by day the people of the State had started losing faith in the Government and therefore urged the people to unite and work together by leaving behind their personal interest to safeguard the territorial integrity of Manipur.

Meanwhile, Bora Yangbi Gram Panchayat Apunba Meira Paibi Lup, secretary Leishangthem Indubala Leima has expressed gratitude to members of Thawai Meerel for providing the relief materials and assured them that the organisation will also take part in the future initiatives of Thawai Meerel.
