AR celebrates Eid-Ul-Fitr at Thoubal, Kakching

Imphal, April 01 2025: Assam Rifles, under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South), celebrated Eid-ul-Fitr with grandeur at Phundrei, Sangaiyumpham and Sora villages in Thoubal and Kakching Districts respectively, on Monday.

According to a release issued by the IGAR (South), as the last day of the holy month of Ramadan, Assam Rifles shared the message of caring, sacrifice and peace by collectively organising Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations in these villages.

The event, organised in collaboration with local populace of these villages, brought together over 2000 villagers including children to celebrate the festival in a spirit of unity and harmony.

During the event, refreshments including tea and sweets were distributed in the gatherings.

The thoughtful gesture of Assam Rifles won accolades from the local populace and the village authorities and MSDO and other Committee members expressed their heartfelt gratitude towards the selfless commitment and social responsibility of the Assam Rifles which not only strengthened communal bonds but also showcased the region's rich cultural and religious heritage.

Assam Rifles' initiative once again demonstrated its commitment to fostering unity and harmony among diverse communities.
