Entrepreneurship development training concludes

Ukhrul, January 23 2026:
The Department of Science and Technology, Government of Manipur, on Friday concluded a 10-day Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) on making plastic bags at Talui village in Ukhrul district.
The valedictory function was graced by Kengoo Zuringla, secretary (Science & Technology), Government of Manipur, as the chief guest.
Other dignitaries present included SK Yarreingam Rangry, Scientific Officer, Department of Science & Technology and M Philawon, chairperson of the Women Society, Talui village, Ukhrul.
During the programme, the chief guest distributed certificates to participants who successfully completed the training.
A total of 40 women took part in the programme and gained hands-on experience in plastic bag manufacturing along with essential knowledge on small-scale business management.
The training aimed at empowering women by equipping them with practical skills to create sustainable livelihood opportunities and supplement household income.
The initiative reflects the Department of Science & Technology's continued commitment to promoting entrepreneurship and women's empowerment at the grassroots level.
