IPSA calls for indigenous market

Praising the State Govt.for its policy to set up a market only for indigenous people, International Peace and Social Advancement (IPSA) expressed its heartfelt gratitude to Mao people for supplying fresh vegetables and other eatables to valley based peoples after a long gap.
While mention was made that Civil Society Organisations like League of Fourth World People Kangleipak (LFWPK), International Peace and Social Advancement (IPSA), All Clubs Organisation Apunba Meira Paibi Lup (ACOAM Lup), KangleiImaLup (KIL), Kanglamei, Chanura Lamchinglei Kangleipak (CLK), Indigenous People's Association of Kangleipak (IKAP), PANDAM, Kangleipak Students' Association (KSA), United Clubs of IMC Ward No 4 Uripok, Kangjabi Youth Club and Nagamapal Youth Club took a major role, IPSA also said that it was impossible without the great contributions of Mao Union, Mao Youth and Students' Union, Mao Business Union and other communities.
While adding that the Mao Keithel will bring a change in the economically backward society, IPSA said the temporary market which was opened from July 3 last at Nagamapal has brought 114 full loaded trucks till July 22, Wednesday and has already sold goods for approximately Rs.34 lakhs and 20 thousand.
Saying that the amount would have been funneled outside Manipur if the Mao Keithel had not existsed IPSA said Rs.1.53 crore would be approximately made in business if the Mao keithel runs at least 15 to 20 days a month.Mao keithel will be the pioneer when it comes to work culture in Manipur society, it added.
Urging the authorities especially MAHUD Dept.
of Manipur for a temporary toilet complex for the temporary Mao keithel, IPSA also appealed all walks of life to contribute and support for a market only for indigenous people of the state so that unity could follow.
