Assam Rifles organises mega medical and dental camp in Churachandpur

The Assam Rifles on Sunday Assam Rifles organised a Mega Medical and Dental Aid Camp at Sangaikot Sub-Division, Churachandpur District, Manipur.
According to a release issued by the IGAR (South), the camp was conducted under Op Sadbhavana and was aimed at providing medical and dental assistance to the local population, Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and youth clubs of the area.
The camp was held in coordination with specialists and a medical officer from District Hospital, Churachandpur, along with medical and dental staff of Assam Rifles.
A combined and dedicated team of officials and troops, supported by nursing staff and paramedical personnel, ensured that comprehensive examinations, timely treatment and professional medical advice were extended to all attendees.
During the camp, a total of 540 beneficiaries were examined and treated.
This included 136 children, 232 women and 124 men, along with 48 patients who received dental care.
All beneficiaries were provided with appropriate medicines, immediate medical attention and counselling on essential health, hygiene and dietary practices.
Among the beneficiaries were 112 IDPs, comprising children and elderly persons, who were given requisite medical and dental treatment.
The camp also included a special focus on youth football teams from different areas of Sangaikot SubDivision.
Sports medicines and first-aid items were distributed to the teams to support their well-being during matches and to address sports-related injuries.
The initiative highlighted the aim of extending accessible healthcare to vulnerable groups and promoting awareness on preventive health practices.
Its impact was evident in the participation of families, IDPs and youth, who benefitted from medical care, counselling and support for their specific needs.
Such efforts contribute to strengthening community health and fostering resilience among populations facing challenges of displacement and limited access to medical facilities.
