Yuva Sena condemns killing of Ch Vikram

Imphal, September 08 2026: Yuva Sena Manipur Pradesh has strongly condemned the killing of guitarist and music teacher Chongtham Vikram Singh in Delhi.

In a statement, the organisation said the incident is deeply concerning and raises serious questions regarding the safety and dignity of citizens from Manipur residing outside the State.

It said repeated concerns raised by people from Manipur and the Northeast regarding discrimination, humiliation and violence in metropolitan cities cannot be overlooked, adding that every citizen is entitled to equal protection, dignity and security under the law.

Yuva Sena urged Delhi Police and the Government of Delhi to constitute a Special Investigation Team (SIT) and ensure a fair, impartial and time-bound probe.

Those responsible must be identified and proceeded against as per law, it said.

It also urged the Government of India to strengthen institutional mechanisms to protect people from Manipur and the Northeast living in metro cities and take effective preventive measures against discrimination and violence.
