'Lions Rally' marks start of 16th Annual Regional Conference

Imphal, February 08 2026:
A significant rally involving members of 37 Lions Clubs across Manipur was held today, culminating at the Jawaharlal Nehru Manipur Dance Academy (JNMDA), in anticipation of the 16th Lions Annual Regional Conference 2026 (Manipur Region).
The rally, which commenced from the historic Kangla Western Gate, was flagged off by the district governor of Lions International District 322D, Lalit Kumar Kothari.
The event saw the participation of dignitaries, including first vice district governor Mena Dutta, second vice district governor Sankar Routh, and representatives from all participating clubs.
Speaking about the event, Ranjit Singh Yumnam, chairperson of Lions International 322D Zone-6, underscored the organisation's massive global footprint, noting Lions International is the world's largest voluntary body with 1.4 million volunteers spanning 210 countries.
He emphasized the organization's commitment to humanitarian services within the State, which include organizing health camps, conducting environmental awareness campaigns, and providing aid to those in need.
The upcoming Annual Regional Conference will serve as a platform to review the work accomplished by the various Lions Clubs and deliberate on future initiatives and projects.
