State records highest TPR since Feb 6

Imphal, June 27 2022: The state on Monday reported the highest daily test positivity rate since February 6 this year as government bulletins reported three new cases of Covid 19 out of 30 samples tested in the last 24 hours, thus, registering 10 per cent positivity rate.

Mention may be made that February 6 reported 10.01 per cent daily positivity rate and since then the state saw gradual decline in the rate of daily infection as well as actual number of new cases.

With the detection of three new cases, the number of active case rose to 14 with 13 of them in home isolation.

No recoveries and death cases were reported in the last 24 hours.

Till date, the pandemic has claimed 2120 lives including seven CAPF personnel and infected 1,37,258 individuals including 5,014 CAPF personnel.

The virus has claimed lives of 194vaccinated people, out of which 61 had received second doses of Covid vaccine.

There are 14 vacant beds available in JNIMS and 47 in RIMS.

So far, the state has recorded 11,470 positive cases and 118 fatalities since the beginning of the third wave of the pandemic.

The current month has reported 20 new positive cases and no fatality with a monthly positivity rate of 1.29 per cent.

A total of 84 D-type and 12 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities in the last 24 hours while only 43 vaccine doses were administered on Sunday which took the cumulative number of vaccinated population to 15,90,286, out of which 12,55,458 had received second doses and 1,07,607 had taken precautionary doses.

As per data maintained by The People's Chronicle based on IDSP and CCR reports, number of total cases in different districts are Imphal West (4.8761), Imphal East (30457), Thoubal (10161), Churachandpur (11054), Kangpokpi (3136), Tamenglong (3478), Bishnupur (9843), Senapati (2493), Ukhrul (3279), Kakching (6896), Chandel (2726), Noney (1161), Tengnoupal (1201), Jiribam (1111), Kamjong (1036), and Pherzawl (465).Data analysed by this daily shows that the rate of infection remains 44,234 confirmed cases per million population (based on projected population of 31,03,000 as per NCP report) against the national average of 30,854 CPM.

Test rate has improved to 5,20,292 tests per million population against the national average of 6,12,010 TPM.

Case fatality rate stands at 1.54 per cent while the recovery rate stands at 98.45 per cent.

The cumulative positivity rate stands 8.50 per cent.
