Lamding Whatsapp Group provides aid to snake bite victim

Thoubal, August 21 2025: The Lamding Whatsapp Group has extended monetary assistance of Rs 15,000 to Thounaojam Sakhi Devi (54) of Lamding Cherapur, Thounaojam Leikai, who was bitten by a snake on August 17 while working in a paddy field.

Upon learning that Sakhi Devi was undergoing treatment at JNIMS Hospital Porompat, members of the Lamding Whatsapp Group from five localities of Lamding, along with contributions raised through social media, pooled together funds to support her medical expenses.

The family of Sakhi Devi has expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Whatsapp Group and to all generous donors who contributed towards her treatment.
