Nagaram VA grateful for support

Nagaram Village Authority has expressed gratitude to various individuals and organisations for their invaluable support and assistance to people affected by the severe flash flood that struck the state on May 29 .
In a statement, Nagaram VA acknowledged the challenging year marked by unprecedented violence and disasters, culminating in the recent floods.
These floods, occurring after a 36-year gap, have led to isolation from loved ones, submergence of homes, and loss of priceless properties.
It also highlighted the countless problems being faced by the affected individuals and expressed empathy.
Despite the severity of the situation, Nagaram VA is grateful that no lives have been lost in the massive flood disaster, in the area, and professionals from the NDRF, SDRF, Army, and police, along with volunteers, took unimaginable risks to rescue those in harm's way, including the elderly, young, and sick.
The village authority also extended special thanks to different individuals and organisations, including CM Biren, government, churches, TKLI, Shinaolong Imphal, NGOs, minister Khashim Vashum, MLA Arunkumar, DIG IK Muivah, CO of 33 Assam Rifles, DC Imphal East, social workers, AMUCO, Poirei Leimarol Meira Paibi Apunba Lup, All Manipur Women's Voluntary Association, and others for their crucial roles in providing emergency food, water, shelter, and medicines to hundreds of flood-affected citizens.
The village authority also expressed gratitude to the volunteers who devoted their time to help others in need.
In addition to expressing gratitude, the village authority also urged for continued support towards rebuilding homes and infrastructure damaged by the flood.
