Meira Paibis stage sit-in

Meira Paibis of SEVA Club, Thongju Part-II, today staged a sit-in protest near Cancipur Supermarket, Leirak Macha, Indo-Myanmar Road.
In a release, the Social Educational Voluntary Athletic (SEVA) Club informed that the sit-in was staged against the failure of the Central & State Government to bring an end to the violence in the State even after 100 days since it began on May 3 last.
SEVA Club mentioned that sit-it was also carried out to protest the Government's failure to book the culprits involved in the murder of three men at Kwakta and gangrape of women at Churachandpur.
At the sit-in, the protesters displayed placards and banners with the writings such as, "Award befitting punisment to culprits of Churachandpur gangrape", "Book all involved in murder of 3 men at Kwakta", "Abrogate SoO pact with Kuki militants'', "Remove Assam Rifles from Manipur", "We condemn assault of women by AR", "Implement NRC in Manipur", "Eradicate narco-terrorism from Manipur", "Safeguard territorial integrity of Manipur", etc.
