RIMS installs Token Kiosk machine

In a significant step towards improving patient convenience and operational efficiency, Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) has installed a Token Kiosk-2 machine at General OPD block of RIMS Hospital, here.
The new machine, designated Token Kiosk 2 has been strategically placed to streamline the patient registration process and reduce waiting times, said a press release issued by RIMS Media Cell.
According to the release, the initiative is part of RIMS Hospital's ongoing commitment to digitalisation and patient-friendly services.
With the increasing number of outpatients visiting the hospital daily, the additional kiosk is expected to significantly ease congestion during peak hours, particularly at the registration counters.
Prof N Sanjib Singh, medical superintendent, also shared his thoughts, stating, "With the introduction of the new Token Kiosk Machine, we are witnessing a positive shift in how patients navigate the OPD system.
This user-friendly digital solution ensures better crowd management and enhances the overall hospital experience.
We remain committed to upgrading our systems to match the growing healthcare needs of our community" .
Token Kiosk Machines are specifically designed to allow patients generate OPD (Out-Patient Department) registration tokens quickly without manual intervention, thereby minimising delays and promoting a smoother workflow in the hospital.
Hospital staff have been trained to assist first-time users of the machine, and user-friendly instructions are displayed prominently to guide patients through the process, the RIMS release said.
