Imphal, October 09 2024: The United Committee Manipur (UCM), Awang Sekmai Unit conducted an Anti-Rabies vaccination programme at Awang Sekmai today in collaboration with the Veterinary Department as part of their community health service initiative.

The vaccination programme was held at Koujengleima Ground, Sekmai in the presence of Dr Khwairakpam Ibetombi Devi, Deputy Director, District Veterinary Office and Ayangbam Suresh, chairman of UCM Awang Sekmai Unit.

A total number of 101 dogs were administered anti-rabies vaccines during the said programme.

Notably, the Veterinary Department team was led by Dr Khwairakpam Ibetombi Devi.

She was accompanied by Veterinary Officers Dr Manoharmayum Vikramjit Sharma, Dr Elangbam Dinesh, Dr Nikita Thingom Chanu and Dr Phuritsabam Geetanjali.
