The exhibition was inaugurated by Dr T Brajakumar, Director, Department of Environment & Climate Change, Manipur, as chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion.
Principal of the Vidyalaya, Wahengbam Sarda Devi, said the exhibition aims to develop scientific thinking among students through the subjects under the theme, bring out their own creativity, and enable them to create products that can contribute to the development of the nation and face future challenges in a creative way.
She said such exhibitions provide a platform to students and encourage them to think how the lessons learnt in class can be applied in real life and what benefits can be derived from them.
Dr T Brajakumar said it is highly commendable that apart from the syllabus, efforts are being made to impart knowledge to students through extra-curricular activities.
He said the students have great talent and skills.
If the talent and skills in students are not properly utilised, it will be a loss for us.
The exhibition provides an opportunity to showcase the talent and skills developed as a person grows, he added.
He said the education imparted to students is their moral foundation.
If these values are properly imbibed and used properly, and if they work as responsible persons, the future will be bright.
For this, proper parenting guidance is needed.
The Director further said he was happy to see that the products displayed in today's exhibition are more environment-friendly and eco-friendly.
If we do not protect plants today, future generations will not survive.
The hills and rivers left by our forefathers should also be preserved for future generations, he added.
