Imphal, April 04 2025: The Executive Engineer W/S Maintenance Division No II of PHED has notified that there will be no water supply in the area under the jurisdiction of Singjamei Ward No 17 .

This includes Singjamei Sapam Leikai, Singjamei Leishangthem Leikai, Singjamei Oinam Leikai, Singjamei Okram Leikai, Singjamei Mayengbam Leikai, Singjamei Waikhom Leikai and Khongang Pheidekpi.

The Department will be unable to supply water to these regions owing to the lean season and lowering of river water below the base level.

Additionally, PHED has informed that the Chinga Water Treatment Plant will be unable to supply water to the consumers under its jurisdiction due to unavailability of raw water.

Normal water supply will resume as soon as raw water is available for treatment at the Chinga intake point, it added.
