The seventeen DESAM volunteers who were on indefinite hunger strike in front of the alliance head office at Keishampat were picked up by the police personnel, but six new volunteers came out and continued the hunger strike.
However, indefinite hunger strikes at Ananda Higher Secondary Academy, Imphal, Nambol bazar and Thangmeiband are going on successfully without any disturbance from the police.
Meanwhile, volunteers of Ema Leishem Enat Loisang and followers of Panthou at Wangkei staged a rally on Monday which marched from Wangkhei Hijam Leirak up to Palace Compound.
They later offered prayers to Ibudhou Nongsaba, Ibudhou Pakhangba and Ema Yumjao Lairembi for immediate implementation of ILPS in Manipur.
To strengthen Joint Committee on Inner Line (JCILPS) in its ILPS movement, a body named JCILPS Supporting Committee NH-37 Imphal West Manipur has been formed.
While vowing to support the JCILPS in the movement, the committee announced to launch intensified agitations until the implementation of ILPS in Manipur.
