Bharatiya Gorkha Parisangha condemns

Imphal, January 29 2025: The Gorkha Welfare Union, Bharatiya Gorkha Parisangha, Manipur State Branch, Koirengei Nepali Basti, has strongly condemned the act of arson at Koirengei Nepali Basti by some miscreants on the intervening night of January 27,2025 .

According to a release issued by Bharatiya Gorkha Parisangha, some miscreants forcefully entered the underconstruction building of social worker Kharga Tamang located at Koirengei Nepali Basti and tried to bum down the building by sprinkling diesel.

"Some construction materials were burnt but to timely intervention of local people no more damage was done", it added.

Bharatiya Gorkha Parisangha mentioned that the people of Koirengei are in panic due to the incident and urged all concerned to not repeat such acts in the future.

Bharatiya Gorkha Parisangha also appealed to the Government to take up necessary action to prevent such incidents in the future.
