Protest staged against gun attack

Imphal, May 19 2024: Denouncing the gun attack on labourers of Nambul Rejuvenation' near Naoremthong Khullem Leikai Meira Shang, a sit-inprotest was staged Khullem Leikai Meira Shang today.

The sit-in was jointly organised by Khullem Leikai Meira Club, Uripok Apunba Lup and Uripok Nupi Apunba Lup.

Speaking on the sidelines of the protest, Uripok Apunba Lup general secretary Samom Dhurba said that armed miscreants fired some rounds towards the labourers who are working for 'Nambul Rejuvenation' on the night of May 18 .

He strongly condemned the gun attack carried out in a residential area and urged all to refrain from creating an atmosphere of fear during this difficult time.
