Imphal, April 15 2026:
The banned KCP has asked for 20 per cent reduction in overall monthly school fees with effect from July 1, 2026 and 35 per cent reduction in admission fees from the academic session 2027 .
The outfit observed its 46th raising day on April 14 at various locations with a two-minute silence in honour of all those who fell prey to the Indian armed forces.
Reading out of the message of Chairman Ibungo Ngangom and the launch of Revolutionary Education Policy of Kangleipak (REPoK) with the idea of revolutionizing the education ecosystem in Kangleipak were the main features of the raising day celebrations, according to a press release issued by the outfit's Information and Public Relations Department Secretary M Punsiba Meitei.
While private schools have been shamelessly charging exorbitant fees without caring for the people's socio-economic challenges, teachers in private schools are underpaid, it said.
"The owners may seek to fool us by claiming that this is the cost of quality education.
No.Quality education does not come from charging high fees, while underpaying the teachers.
Indeed, it comes from good teachers, fair systems and honest intent", the outfit asserted.
In order to counter all the unfair and corrupt practices associated with the education ecosystem, the KCP has developed after extensive research and consultation a new education policy in the form of Revolutionary Education Policy of Kangleipak (REPoK), to be implemented by the education regulatory authority of the party.
