Bishnupur, September 08 2026: In connection with the observation of World Physiotherapy Day, a one-day free physiotherapy health camp was held at the Okshongbung Upper Primary School relief camp in Moirang Okshongbung Leikai and at the Senior Citizen Home, Kumbi Terakhong.

The free physiotherapy camp was organized by All Manipur Physiotherapy Association (AMPA) under the sponsorship of the Locomotion Healthcare Prosthetics & Orthotics Clinic, Top Mayai Leikai in Imphal East.

During the camp which was held on the theme 'Stroke & Cardiovascular Disease', a team of physiotherapists and other staff treated around 170 people for various issues using relevant physiotherapy equipment.

It may be noted that walking sticks, belts and medicines were provided for free to the needy in today's camp.

Speaking in connection with the camp, AMPA secretary general Dr Leishangthem Romenkumar said that the physiotherapy camp has been conducted with an aim to help the internally displaced persons (IDPs) and the elderly people in terms of healthcare.
