BJP units launch celebration of 8 years of Modi govt

Tbl/Kak, June 04 2022: BJP Thoubal District organised a rally to launch the fortnight-long nationwide celebration marking eight years of the Narendra Modi-led government in respect of the district from MMRC Unity Park, Khangabok on Saturday.

The programme was attended by MAHUD minister Yumnam Khemchand as chief guest and BJP Thoubal District president Y Kumarjit as president.

Wangjing Tentha MLA Paonam Brojen, former MLA Y Antas Khan, BJP candidates Yumnam Nabachandra, Leitanthem Basanta alias Bhim and Kh Menjor Mangang, BJP Manipur Pradesh secretaries P Premanda Meitei and K Inaocha Devi and others were also present at the function.

Speaking on the occasion, Y Khemchand regretted that BJP candidates from four assembly constituencies of Thoubal district were unsuccessful in the recently held Manipur Legislative Assembly Election.

He, however, exhorted them to work together to ensure that BJP wins in the upcoming Lok Sabha and state assembly elections.

He continued that Asian Highway is being constructed through Thoubal district with strict quality control under the close monitoring of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and chief minister N Biren.

He also assured of doing whatever he can for the development of Thoubal district.

During the event, speakers highlighted various welfare and development initiatives taken up the by BJP government for the nation as well as the state.

Meanwhile, BJP Kakching Dis-trict held a press conference at its office at Kakching Bazar on Saturday in connection with the fortnight-long nationwide celebration marking eight years of Modi government.

Speaking at the press meet, Hiyanglam MLA Dr Yumnam Radheshyam highlighted the various welfare and development schemes taken up by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his eight year of governance including Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), Swachh Bharat Mission, Jal Jeevan Mis sion, Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PM-GKAY), Ayush man Bharat Yojana, free Covid-19 vaccination, constitution of 15 All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) level institutes and 200 medical colleges along with health and wellness centres in every block, schemes for farmers, women, entrepreneurship, infrastructure de velopment, etc.

On the other hand, Wabagai MLA Dr Usham Deben emphasised on the works done by PM Modi on national security and foreign policy as well as providing special pack age for the development of North East states.

The press meet was also attended by BJP Kakching District president Usham Ibomcha, Kakching Mandal president Yengkhom Achou, BJP candidate from Sugnu assembly constituency Mayanglambam Binod and other officer bearers.

Similarly, BJP Chandel District also organised a press conference highlighting the achievements of PM Modi's government in connection with the celebration at its administrative office at Pallel on Saturday.

The conference was attended by BJP Manipur Pradesh secretary and 8 Years of PM Modi Government Celebration Manipur co-convener Vikram Kongkham, BJP Chandel District president Sk Angshel Lamkang, vice president Lalpu Aimol, general secretary ML Haokip and other office bearers.
