1 killed in IED blast

Ukhrul, February 05 2015:
One person was killed and another seriously injured in an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast between Nambashi Khunou and Khunthak Village under Kasom police station, Ukhrul district at around 11 am.
According to reports, the deceased has been identified as Addison Jajo (36) and the injured as Hillary Keishing (34) and that both were "innocent civilians." The blast occurred at a site over 100 km from Ukhrul Town when the two were travelling in a motorbike on their way to Imphal.
Jajo and Keishing were rushed to Kasom Primary Health Centre (PHC) in critical condition.
However, Jajo succumbed to injuries before reaching the PHC.
Reports said that after the blast, Jajo's legs were blown off while Keishing sustained serious injuries on his legs, chest and head.
Police personnel immediately rushed to the spot.
No organization has claimed responsibility for the IED blast till the filing of this report.
