SNPA, Swachhata Hi Seva campaigns continue

As part of the ongoing Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan (SNSPA) and Swachhata Hi Seva 2025, the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal, organised a series of health check-up and awareness programmes at Punya Children Home, Thangmeiband, Leimakol Achanbigei, and Senior Citizen Old Age Home, Kongba.
As per a release issued by RIMS, specialist doctors from the Departments of Medicine, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PMR), and Paediatrics provided medical consultations and treatment to the inmates of three Homes.
As part of the outreach, free medicines and edible items were also distributed.
In total, 92 inmates benefitted from the initiative - 39 at Punya Children Home; 36 at Leimakol Achanbigei, and 17 at Senior Citizen Old Age Home, Kongba.
In addition, a blood Donation camp was held at Utlou Awang High School, Nambol, under the SNSPA, in collaboration with Arambai Tengol Unit 24 GHQ Medical Team and the Department of Transfusion Medicine, RIMS, Imphal.
A total of 68 voluntary donors were screened, and 54 units of blood were successfully collected.
The programme highlighted RIMS' unwavering commitment to extending quality healthcare services to vulnerable sections of society while simultaneously raising awareness on health and hygiene.
