Hindi Pakhwada 2026 concludes at MU

Imphal, September 21 2026: Manipur University concluded its Hindi Pakhwada 2026 with a closing ceremony organised by the Official Language Cell at Court Hall on September 18.Vice-Chancellor Prof RK Hemakumar Singh attended as chief guest, Prof Sagolsem Lanchenba Meetei, Dean, School of Humanities, DM University as special guest, Registrar Prof Moirangthem Premjit Singh and Finance Officer Prof Laishram Rajendrakumar Singh as guests of honour.

Former Dean, School of Human & Environmental Sciences, Prof Soibam Jibonkumar Singh presided.

Assistant Director of Official Language Cell Dr Binita Akoijam also attended.

As part of the fortnight, competitions in poetry recitation, extempore speech, dictation, handwriting and Hindi proficiency were held with 30 participants.

Prizes and certificates were distributed to winners.

Official noting and drafting in Hindi for 2025-26 was also assessed.

A reference booklet for Hindi in official work was released.
