Thoubal, September 08 2026: The Agriculture Department in coordination with the United Farmer Club, Langathel in Thoubal district organized a fanners' training cum machinery and pulses seed distribution programme today at Langathel Laikon Bazar community hall.

Speaking as the chief guest of the programme, Joychandra Konthoujam, chairman of Justice Committee on Anglo-Manipur War 1891, Martyrs and Freedom Fighters of Kangleipak (Manipur) called upon all to make Manipur, a self reliant State in terms of food production by working on striving for a society with a strong work culture.

In today's farmers' training programme conducted by agriculture experts, black gram and soyabeans were distributed to the farmers.

It may be noted that District Agriculture Officer Thoubal Kakching RK Umakanta, Agriculture Officer W Subhash, Langathel Gram Panchayat Chairperson Sh Tomba and District Agriculture Officer Thoubal Linthoi Watham attended as the presidium members of the programme.
