Chief minister N Biren and BJP Manipur Pradesh president A Sharda left for New Delhi on Thursday to attend the party's meeting and formation of the new NDA government led by the BJP, which is scheduled on May 9 .
Sources said that chief ministers of the BJP ruled states and state presidents of the party have started reaching the national capital to attend the formation of the NDA 3.0 government after the alliance won 293 seats in the general elections to the 18th Lok Sabha on Tuesday while the BJP alone secured 240 seats.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has already submitted his resignation and intimated for dissolution of his cabinet to the President of India on Wednesday.
Amid reports of uneasiness within the party after the BJP lost both the Lok Sabha seats in the state in the recent Lok Sabha election, some BJP MLAs and party leaders told The People's Chronicle that CM Biren and party president Sharda went to Delhi to attend the party's meeting, which will deliberate on intricacies of forming alliance.
They will also attend the swearing in ceremony of the Prime Minister.
