10 in fray for Outer LS seat : Altogether 8 file nominations for Inner

All 10 candidates, who have filed nominations to contest the 16th Lok Sabha election in Outer Manipur Parliamentary, would be in the fray for the election as no one turned up to withdraw their nomination papers till 3 pm today on the last day for withdrawal of nomination papers or candidatures.
Subsequently, the Returning Officer has allotted the serial numbers and symbols of the 10 candidates.
They are Sl.No.1 TMC's Kim Gangte whose symbol is flower and grass, Sl.No.2 BJP's Prof Gangmumei Kamei (Lotus), Sl.No.3 NCP's C Doungel (Clock), Sl.No.4 INC's Thangso Baite (Palm), Sl.No.5 NPF's Soso Lorho (Cock), Sl.No.6 AAP's Kamchinpou Zou (Broom), Sl.No.7 JD (U)'s Lamminlien Gangte (Arrow), Sl.No.8 independent Amarson Sankhil (torch light), Sl.No.9 independent Mani Cheranemei (Kettle) and Sl.No.10 independent Lalammoi Gangte (hand saw) .
The election for Outer Manipur Parliamentary Constituency would be held on April 9 next month in 28 Assembly Constituencies including eight assembly segments in the valley region.

On the other hand, along with Dr Khwairakpam Ibomcha filing his nomination papers as a candidate of Aam Aadmi Party on the last day of filing nominations today, the number candidates aspiring to contest for the lone Manipur Inner Lok Sabha seat has raised to eight.
Earlier, Congress candidate and sitting MP Dr Th Meinya, Dr..MNara of CPI, Oinam Indira (Independent), BJP candidate Dr.R.K.Ranjan, Dr..GTonsana Sharma of Manipur Democratic People's Front, S Manaobi of Trinamool Congress and Oinam Jotin of Jai Maha Bharath Party had filed their nomination papers to contest for the Inner Lok Sabha seat, the polling of which is scheduled on April 17 .
The last date of withdrawal of nomination papers or candidatures for the Inner Manipur Parliamentary Constituency is March 29 .
