IND 2015 widely celebrated

International Nurses Day 2015 was widely celebrated across the State on Tuesday with the RIMS Nurses Association, Lamphel celebrating it during a function held at the RIMS mini auditorium here on Tuesday.
The function was held under the IND theme for 2015 "Nurses: A Force for Change: Care Effective, Cost Effective." RIMS Director Prof S Rita, Nursing Superintendant Th Chinglembi were the chief guest and president on the occasion.
Joint Registrar of Cooperative Department Th Manao, Deputy Nursing Superintendents, RIMS Sh Lata, M Jamuna and Ch Subadani were the guests of honour at the event.
Catholic Medical Centre (CMC), Koirengei, Imphal East also celebrated the IND at the hospital's Nursing College auditorium.
Manipur Assembly Deputy Speaker MK Preshow Shimray, CMC president and Archbishop of Imphal, Dominic Lumon DD shared the dais on the occasion.
International Nurses Day is celebrated around the world every May 12, the anniversary of Florence Nightingale's birth.
The International Council of Nurses commemorates this important day each year with the production and distribution of the International Nurses' Day (IND) Kit.
The IND Kit 2015 contains educational and public information materials, for use by nurses everywhere.
