Churachandpur, May 12 2015 :
State BJP Chief Th Chaoba today called upon all the armed groups based in hill areas to refrain from disturbing the on-going electoral process for ADC seats in the hill districts, S Singlianmang Guite reports.
Addressing the media during his brief visit to Churachandpur district today, the State BJP Chief made a scathing remark on the Congress party accusing it of mis-governance, corruption and deceitfulness.
He has also claimed that his party is expected to win at least 13 seats from the 18 DCCs this election.
Calling for a peaceful conduct of the ADC poll, Chaoba called on the armed groups, both under the Suspension of Operation (SoO) and those outside and the Naga armed groups, not to disturb the electoral process.
The State BJP Chief also conveyed the party's wishes for a free and a fair election rather than 'selection' which according to him was patronised by Congress in the last election.
The BJP chief in the meantime criticised the practice of selection procedure stating that the practice is a smack upon the very ethics of democracy.
Chaoba has also forewarned of undesirable consequences in case armed group/organisations refuse to adhere to his appeal and choose to disturb the electoral process.
