Imphal, October 26 2026:
An aspiring candidate for Phungyar AC for 13th General Election to Manipur Legislative Assembly, Wungnaoshang (Ashang) Kasar, has submitted a representation to the Governor seeking urgent intervention for declaration and public disclosure of pending Government recruitment results.
In the representation submitted on October 26, Kasar drew attention to growing concern among unemployed youths and aspirants over non-declaration of results of various Government recruitment examinations conducted by different departments and recruiting agencies of the State Government.
He stated that candidates who invested considerable time, money and effort continue to remain in uncertainty due to failure to declare results within a reasonable period, causing frustration, anxiety and loss of public confidence in the fairness and integrity of the recruitment system.
He also raised concern over reports that the State Government is proceeding or contemplating fresh recruitment across various departments particularly when elections are approaching, which has raised questions regarding priorities, transparency and intentions.
He highlighted three main issues - non-declaration of pending recruitment results, initiation of fresh recruitment without resolving previous processes, and apprehension of corruption, favouritism and electoral misuse due to lack of transparency.
Kasar urged the Governor to exercise constitutional authority and seek a report from the State Government regarding status of all pending recruitment processes and direct concerned authorities to compile and publish a comprehensive list of examinations, departments concerned, dates of examinations, present status and reasons for delay.
He said the interest of thousands of unemployed youths and credibility of public institutions demand matters be addressed without further delay.
