Youth from Churachandpur experience the heart of the Nation on National Integration Tour

Imphal, November 20 2025:
A group of 22 students and two teachers from Churachandpur, accompanied by seven personnel of Assam Rifles, is currently undertaking a National Integration Tour (NIT) under Operation Sadbhavana, traversing the cultural and historical corridors of Delhi, Jaipur and Kolkata.
According to a release issued by the IGAR (South), the tour, flagged off on November 15, 2025, aims to broaden the horizons of youth from remote regions by exposing them to the diversity and dynamism of the nation.
Having journeyed through six states Manipur, Mizoram, Assam, West Bengal, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, the team reached New Delhi at 3:30 PM on November 19.For many, it was their first glimpse of the capital and the sight of towering buildings, expansive roads and bustling traffic left a lasting impression.
Their arrival marked not just a geographical milestone but an emotional one, as they stepped into the heart of the nation with awe and anticipation.
A moment of profound significance unfolded later that evening when the team visited Rashtrapati Bhawan and had the honour of meeting Droupadi Murmu, the President of India.
The President warmly interacted with the students, enquired about their education and shared a handshake with each of them.
The team presented a souvenir and captured the moment in a group photograph.
Overwhelmed by the experience, the students described it as a dream come true, expressing heartfelt gratitude to Assam Rifles for making the visit possible.
On November 20, the team paid homage at the National War Memorial, remembering the martyrs of Churachandpur who laid down their lives in service of the nation.
They also visited India Gate, where they reflected on the sacrifices of freedom fighters and captured memories of the day through photographs and videos.
The team is scheduled to meet Vice Chief of Army Staff, before proceeding to Jaipur.
The journey continues to be a transformative experience, fostering national pride, unity and a deeper understanding of India's rich heritage.
