Imphal, October 01 2025: As part of the ongoing Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan (SNSPA), the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal, organised a Blood Donation Camp at the Department of Transfusion Medicine, RIMS, Imphal today.

As per a release issued by RIMS, the camp saw active participation from the Red Cross Society, Imphal West, 189 Battalion CRPF Lamphel, and 109 Battalion CRPF Mongshangei.

A total of 71 volunteers, including members of the CRPF and the Red Cross Society, came forward to donate blood.

Prof G Sunil Kumar Sharma, Director of RIMS, Imphal, also donated blood voluntarily during the camp and interacted with donors, encouraging them for their selfless contribution.

As part of the SNSPA and Swachhata Hi Seva 2025, RIMS also organised health camps and a mental health awareness programme today.

The health camp for staff and students was held at Oriental College, Takyel, in collaboration with Freefly Northeast, Manipur, and Oriental College, Imphal.

Another programme focusing on mental health awareness was conducted for staff and students at Leimakon Regional Institute, Nambol.

Separately, E-Pao Tengbang Lup organised a voluntary blood donation camp at St Anthony's School in connection with the National Voluntary Blood Donation Day.
