RK Sanatombi Devi Award and Governor's Award selection held

Imphal, September 08 2026: The Selection Committee meeting for Governor's Award and RK Sanatombi Devi Award 2026 was held on Tuesday at Asha Jina Complex, Imphal under the chairmanship of Dr RK Nimai Singh, retired IAS officer.

The committee members present included Sorokhaibam Imoshana Meitei, Deputy Secretary to Governor, Director Fisheries T Phulen Meitei, Prof Th Ratankumar Singh, Prof RK Tamphasana, Haobam Sunil Singh, Prof Sumitra Phanjoubam, T Asha Devi, Jina Thongram and Mona Tongbram.

The awards will be presented on September 15 at Asha Jina Complex.

Each awardee will receive a cash prize along with a certificate.

For Governor's Award 2026, Sushitra Ningthemchamayum of RK Sanatombi Devi Vidyalaya, has been selected as Best Student.

For RK Sanatombi Devi Award 2026, Irengbam Ratna Devi, Primary Teacher of Bhairodan Maxwell Hindi High School has been selected in the Teacher category.

Khwairakpam Diyara, MU Topper of B Ed Exam 2026 from Trinity Teacher Training College and Pinky Soibam, MU Topper of M Ed Exam 2025 from RK Sanatombi Devi College of Education have been selected under Teacher Education category.

Laishram Poda Devi, Nursing Sister, JNIMS Hospital has been selected under Nurse category.

Under Sports categories, Khwairakpam Budhinanda Singh of Thanga Karang has been selected for Physically Challenged (Swimming), Laitonjam Lanchenba of Singjamei Wangma for Swimming, Chirom Joyshree Devi of Mayang Imphal Thana Awang for Boxing, Huidrom Bhumeswory Devi of Huidrom Awang Leikai for Athletics, and Nameirakpam Tomchou Meetei of Ngairangbam Awang Mamang Leikai for Weightlifting.

Khundongbam Dhaneshor Meetei of PM Shri Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Yaralpat has been selected as Best Student in Co-curricular Activities/Sports among (CBSE Schools) .
