District Administration begins review of Mid-day meal scheme implementation: DC Thoubal

Thoubal, April 04 2025: Deputy Commissioner Thoubal, Ahanthem Subhash has said that District Administration Thoubal has initiated the process of reviewing the implementation of "Pradhan Man tri Poshan" also known as Mid-Day meal scheme for the school children of Thoubal district.

Speaking to the media persons in a press meet, DC Thoubal Ahanthem Subhash stated that to ensure the successful implementation of mid-day meal scheme in the district, a Monitoring Committee comprising 21 officers have been set up as per the directive of the Chief Secretary of Manipur.

"The said monitoring committee held its first meeting today and has submitted their inspection report.

As per the report, it was found that there are some irregularities in the functioning and running of mid-day meal schemes in the district," said Subhash.

Stating that such irregularities in implementation of the scheme will be revamped within a month, he sought support of the public, local clubs and guardians of the district for successful implementation of the scheme.

He also appealed to the people to inform the District Administration of any irregularities in implementation of the mid-day meal schemes in any locality.
