Imphal, April 11 2025:
The proscribed RPF and its armed wing PLA have paid deepest respect and obeisance to all the martyrs who had laid down their lives for the motherland on the occasion of the Martyrs' Day (April 13) .
The outfit has also expressed solidarity with all the mothers and women who have lost their sons and husbands to the atrocities and oppression committed by the Indian armed forces.
A statement issued by the outfit's Secretary Publicity Roben Khuman asserted that the epitaph "Chatledo Eikhoidi Nakhoigi Hayeng-gidamak" lays a solid foundation for the path to the future which is awash with sweat and blood.
"We firmly believe that we will reach our destination one day if we don't stop marching.
We must climb high mountains, go down deep ravines and endure all kinds of hardships and difficulties", the outfit said.
Many revolutionary fighters laid down their lives in the battle of Kodompokpi on April 13, 1982 but the flame of revolutionary movement ignited by their sacrifice is becoming brighter and brighter, it said.
The PLA has fought a number of battles.
The revolutionary fighters scored victory in some of the battles while some other battles ended in failure.
Yet, the struggle has been going on relentlessly, it said.
All Indian armed forces personnel are serving as soldiers only because they are given salaries.
All of them are timid and none of them love their country, it alleged.
"They are here to earn money, exploit and loot our resources.
Instead of fighting the battles which they must fight, they are using certain communities as their proxy", it said.
It alleged that the Indian armed forces often fled away from battlefields.
Alleging that the Government of India orchestrated the recent communal clash in which thousands of houses were reduced to ashes and more than 60,000 people were displaced from their homes only to enjoy the macabre spectre with a sadistic attitude, the outfit asserted that the people have known clearly that the Government of India is a colonial ruler.
Orchestrating communal conflicts in regions struggling for National liberation is a common strategy employed by colonial rulers, it said.
All those elements scheming to incite communal conflicts are collaborators and the people must be wary of them, it continued.
In addition to orchestrating communal conflicts, a large number of youth have been pushed into the jaws of intoxicating drugs.
The outfit accused the Indian armed forces of supporting poppy plantation and production of opium in the hill areas of Manipur with a diabolic intention to annihilate the youth.
It also questioned the failure of the Indian armed forces to trace the youths who disappeared with vehicles while they have successfully unearthed weapons concealed in vast hills and forest areas.
The communal clash orchestrated by Delhi has severely affected the State's economy and social fabric.
Now, a large number of workers have been left without any jobs while a considerable number of farmers have been denied access to their agricultural lands by creating buffer zones.
All these are deliberate machinations of the Government of India, it said.
The battle of Kodompokpi is a part of the liberation movement.
"If we commit the blunder of seeing the liberation movement casually, the future generations will suffer 100 times more than the present generation, there may not be any indigenous people in Manipur and Manipur may break into pieces", the outfit warned.
Asking whether there is any meaning to the existence of Manipur without any indigenous people and the survival of the indigenous people without their native land, Manipur, the outfit urged all the people to ponder on the same question.
It then appealed to all the people to spare some time on April 13 and join the Martyrs' Day observation.
It further appealed to all the people to offer lamps to the martyrs at dusk at each and every residential gate on the same day.
The outfit also appealed to all sections of people not to organise any entertainment or merry-making programmes on April 13 .
