Imphal, April 12:
Out-rightly confessing that it is deeply ashamed of factionalism within the KCP organisation and its fallout ultimately imperilling the general public, the proscribed KCP Mobile Task Force (MTF) has informed that publication of all news item related to the armed organisation should be banned by media establishments effective from April 13 till the internal differences had been sorted.
A statement issued by the MTF chief commander City Meitei regretted that common people had been severely effected due to acrimonies between different groups of the KCP apart from severely tarnishing image of the revolution movement.
As such decision to ban statements of the KCP had been constrained as it is mainly through the media that mud-slinging, allegations and counter allegations are being made which ultimately undermines the armed struggle besides making a mockery of the movement and adversary forces relish the moment.
Observing that the armed movement was actually launched to free the people from subjugation of adversary forces particularly the government of India but rivalry amongst the KCP groups had been resulting in loss of confidence in the mind of the common people, City Meitei conceding guilt and mistake on the part of the KCP organisation emphasised that it would strive to unify all the groups so as to sustain the movement with renewed vigour.
further, the chief commander of MTF asserted that it would make all out effort to reach a certain point towards its cherished goal within December 16, 2008 failing which KCP (MTF) will not seek any financial or material assistance from the general public.
Urging other armed groups to condone the KCP for maligning image of the ongoing struggle, City Meitei called upon these organisations to suggest and work for bringing all the KCP groups into a single entity.
To the KCP groups, he urged for cooperation in tracing out the root cause of the organisation's crisis.
