In the course of the sustained mass movement for enforcement of ILPS or similar mechanism in Manipur, there was not a single case of harassment of Teli people.
Teli people have been living in peace and harmony with all the neighbouring communities.
There was one isolated, untoward incident but it was promptly resolved through a joint meeting held at the initiative of local Meira Paibis.
Jan Adhikar Party president Pappu Yadav's allegation about harassment of Bihari migrants in Manipur was totally baseless, Manoj Kumar Gupta and Chitarman Sahu said.
They also condemned the act of stopping trains and searching Manipuri people by Pappu Yadav as if the laws were in his hands.
