Dhanvantari Seva Yatra: NMO organises medical camp

A mega medical camp under the Dhanvantari Seva Yatra (DSY), 2026, was successfully conducted today at the Khoyol Keithel Relief Camp, Moirang.
Organised under the aegis of the National Medicos Organisation, Manipur, in collaboration with M Prithviraj Singh, former MLA of Moirang AC, the camp marked a significant step in extending accessible healthcare to both displaced persons and the wider community.
More than 200 patients from diverse age groups and back-grounds were treated on the spot, receiving free medication and proper monitoring, said a press release.
The initiative ensured that quality healthcare reached those most in need, reinforcing the importance of community-based medical outreach.
A distinguished team of doctors, including Dr Vyas, Dr Sachin, Dr Kala, Dr AK Joy, Dr Dinesh, and 20 other specialists and postgraduate medical professionals, provided comprehensive medical services across multiple specialities.
Patients received consultations in medicine, surgery, orthopaedics, paediatrics, gynaecology, cardiology, neurosurgery, dentistry, and ENT, along with diagnostic procedures such as ECG, blood sugar, and haemoglobin testing.
Minor surgical and dental procedures were also carried out.
Notably, both IDPs from Okshongbung Relief Camp and Khoyol Keithel Relief Camp, as well as local civilians, availed the opportunity today.
The public expressed heartfelt appreciation for the camp, praising the dedication of the medical team and organisers.
The event not only addressed immediate health concerns but also strengthened the bond between healthcare providers and the community.
According to the press release, the Mega Medical Camp - DSY 2026 stands as a testament to the power of collaboration between medical professionals and civic leaders.
