Imphal, April 01 2025: Disabled Development Association Manipur (DDAM) and Wheelchair Basketball Association Manipur (WBAM) jointly celebrated the festival of Eid-ul-Fitr on March 31.The ceremony was held at the residence of DDAM secretary Md Yunus Khan near Oinam Sawombung dam.

The event was graced by L Dhaneshwor, Deputy Director, Social Welfare Department; Somorendro, president, IPAK; Sukham Bidyananda, president, Kangleipak Students' Association (KSA), disabled persons from both the hill and valley areas of Manipur and members of WBAM.

The gathering enjoyed a luncheon together and offered prayers to Almighty Allah for peace to return in Manipur.

On the occasion, L Dhaneshwor expressed hope that Eid-ul-Fitr, which is commemorated after the holy month of Ramadan ends, will bring unity and harmony among the different communities in the State.

Meanwhile, Md Yunus Khan hoped that with the arrival of the auspicious festival, disabled persons will get their due rights and they will be put on the path to development and success, including the WBAM players.
