DIPR conducts media tour on poll day

Imphal, April 11 2019:
Directorate of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) today conducted a press tour for the first phase of voting for the 17th Lok Sabha Elections, 2019.Around 20 journalists from both print and electronic media visited various polling stations at Kangpokpi and Churachandpur districts.
During the poll day of the Outer Manipur Parliamentary seat, the media team along with DIPR officials visited women polling stations and polling station manned by PWDs.
The team visited 50/35 - Tumnoupokpi Polling Station, 50/30 - Kalapahar (A), 50/31 - Kalapahar (B) and 50/32 - Kalapahar (C) in Kangpokpi District, 59/43 - B Vengnuam and 58/71 - Khumujamba in Churachandpur district.
During the tour, Churachandpur DC Shyam Lal Poonia also briefed the media team.
Outer PC comprises of 28 Assembly segments namely, Heirok, Wangjing Tentha, Khangabok, Wabagai, Kakching, Hiyanglam, Sugnoo, Jiribam, Chandel (ST), Tengnoupal (ST), Phungyar (ST), Ukhrul (ST), Chingai (ST), Saikul (ST), Karong (ST), Mao (ST), Tadubi (ST), Kangpokpi, Saitu (ST), Tamei (ST), Tamenglong (ST), Nungba (ST), Tipaimukh (ST), Thanlon (ST), Henglep (ST), Churachandpur (ST), Saikot (ST) and Singhat (ST) .
