Imphal, September 30 2025: The Manipuri Sahitya Parishad, Thoubal District Branch has expressed deep sorrow over the demise of renowned writer Moirangthem Rajendra Singh of Tentha Khongbal, who passed away on September 29, 2025.In a press release, the Sahitya Parishad Thoubal branch informed that a joint condolence meeting was held today, organised by the Parishad along with Khorilol Sandoklup Wangjing; and Ningol Khut, Manipur; to mourn the loss of the eminent writer.

The gathering observed a two-minute silence and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.

The speakers at the condolence programme recalled Rajendra's invaluable role in enriching Manipuri literature, language, and culture.

His works were remembered as an enduring legacy for future generations.

Born on February 15, 1941, Rajendra had a long and dedicated career in teaching, serving as a teacher at Thoubal College for over 30 years.
