Nationwide literacy and numeracy assessment held at DM Academy Keinou

The Adult Education Department (State Literacy Mission Authority, Manipur), under the ULLAS-Nav Bharat Saksharta Karyakram initiative, conducted the nationwide Foundation Literacy and Numeracy Assessment Test (FLNAT) 2025, at DM Academy, Keinou Thongkha, Bishnpur today.
The District Literacy Mission Authority (DLMA) Bishnupur, who took the lead initiative in coordinating the assessment test, was attended by the Self-Help Group (SHG) members of Khoriphaba Village Level Federation of Nambol Block.
Speaking in this connection, India Literacy Programme Manipur, Nodal Officer Gaijeipou Thaimei stated that under the ULLAS-Nav Bharat Saksharta Karyakram initiative, FLNAT assessments are being carried out across various locations of the State to evaluate and certify the basic reading, writing, and numeracy skills of adult learners who were previously non-literate with the aim to foster lifelong learning and achieve the NEP 2020's goal of 100 literacy in by empowering individuals to become neo-literates.
Gaijoupou further informed that for Manipur, FLNAT has been successfully conducted in Bishnupur, Chandel, Senapati, Tamenglong, and Thoubal districts across 60 exam centres, recording registration form 29,857 individuals, including 21,506 women and 8,361 men.
