IMPCC Manipur Chapter Meeting focuses on '360-Degree Communication Strategy'

Following a gap of a few years, the Inter Media Publicity Coordination Committee (IMPCC), Manipur Chapter, convened a significant meeting on Friday at the auditorium of the Central Bureau of Communication (CBC) Regional Office in Imphal.
The meeting, organised by the Press Information Bureau (PIB), Imphal, was chaired by Dr Engam Pame, Director of PIB Imphal.
As per a release issued by PIB Imphal, the gathering saw active participation from a wide array of Government departments and media organisations, including the Directorate of Information and Public Relations Manipur (DIPR), Doordarshan Kendra (DDK), All India Radio (Akashvani), Airports Authority of India (AAI), National Informatics Centre (NIC), National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT), Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), Central Agricultural University Imphal (CAU), and Institute of Bioresources and Sustainable Development (IBSD), among others.
Dr Pame welcomed the attendees, highlighting that their commitment reflects a dedication to strengthening public communication mechanisms and ensuring accurate and timely information reaches the public.
Dr Pame emphasized that the primary objective of the IMPCC platform is to develop a comprehensive 360-degree communication and management strategy.
"This strategy aims to facilitate the effective, timely, and wide dissemination of Government policies, programmes, and initiatives to the masses, leveraging both traditional and digital media platforms", he added.
The meeting deliberated on key aims, including serving as a platform for Central Government departments to present their activities and best practices; fostering synergy among media units for unified and impactful publicity of government schemes; monitoring media coverage and public responses to fine-tune communication strategies and bridge the gap between the Government and citizens; and strengthening outreach efforts to ensure information reaches even the remotest parts of the State.
Participating departments provided detailed presentations on their recent activities, achievements, and upcoming plans.
A particular emphasis was placed on enhancing coordination and aligning communication strategies with national priorities, specifically contributing to the vision of Viksit Bharat.
The meeting concluded with a call for continued cooperation and sustained efforts to build a more responsive, transparent, and citizen-centric communication framework in the State.
