Imphal, September 21 2025: Prayers and other oblations were offered at Leimakhong Turel Mapal, Kangmong Manglak today for the brave heroes who made the supreme sacrifice for the cause of the motherland in the ongoing conflict to rest in peace.

A large number of people gathered at the Kangmong Manglak to participate in the ritual of offering Langban Heisoi, jointly organised by Yelhoumee Kanba Lup and Anouba Senmitlon Manipur.

Speaking to the media, YKL president Loken Angom shared that since time immemorial the ritual of offering Langban Heisoi has been carried out by the Meiteis to pay respect to their ancestors.

"In continuation of this tradition, YKL and Anouba Senmitlon Manipur jointly organised the solemn event today to pay homage to the ancestors and the brave souls who gave their lives to protect their motherland in the ongoing conflict", he added.

Moreover, Alternate Housing Complex Relief Camp Committee, Meetei Council Moreh, Moreh Meetei .Lai Thougal Lup and Lainingthou Sanamahi Puya Santhok Lup Moreh also jointly organised a Langban Heisoi Tamba ritual at the Relief Camp in Langol Game Village Zone-2 today.

Hundreds of people including internally displaced people (IDP) from Moreh and Churachandpur who are currently taking shelter at various relief camps took part in the ritual ceremony and offered prayers & other oblations to their ancestors and martyrs who sacrificed their fives during the ongoing conflict in the State.
